NCSC Rules
Safety is our highest priority. Every member or guest is responsible for the safe operation of the club and shall intervene to stop unsafe behavior in violation of these rules when observed.
Eye and ear protection is required for all shooters and spectators.
Shooting under the influence of alcohol or drugs is strictly prohibited.
No shot larger than 7 ½ may be used. No load greater than 1250 feet per second (3 dram equivalent). No load greater than 1 1/8 ounce may be used. Lead shot only.
NCSC is a shotgun only club. In the interest of safety, no other types of firearms may be discharged on any of the ranges. Shotguns must have a full stock (folding or fixed) and a minimum barrel length of 18.5 inches.
Children under 18 must be under adult supervision.
Guns carried on NCSC property must be cased or carried with the action open and visible to others.
All guns must be unloaded except when on a shooting range and ready for a target.
Muzzles are to be pointed in a safe direction at all times.
Any individual new to shotgun target sports or handling their gun must get instruction from the clubhouse.
Any individual wanting to instruct shooters on the range must report to the clubhouse for approval before entering the shooting area.
At no time are any unauthorized personnel permitted to approach, load, adjust or change any target machine. If a problem arises, contact the clubhouse to have the problem addressed.
Being verbally abusive or disrespectful to anyone on Club property is prohibited and will not be tolerated. If there is a problem with any individual, report such conduct to the club manager.
Conduct which impairs, impedes, or otherwise negatively affects the overall harmony and operation of the Club will not be tolerated and is subject to discipline up to and including suspension of or loss of membership and exclusion from the Club grounds in the interests of the overall welfare of the membership.
Persons who violate these rules are subject to discipline up to and including suspension of or loss of membership and exclusion from the Club grounds in the interests of the overall enjoyment of the facility and welfare of the membership.
